Celebration Saturday!
This is one of my favorite posts of the week! It gives me the chance to look back on the week and celebrate all of the good! Thank you to Ruth for this opportunity. Please join us at her blog!
Monday: I celebrate a day off. It was relaxing and quiet. I enjoyed a yummy cup of coffee while I watched one of my all time favorite movies, Annie!
Tuesday: I celebrate student bloggers. Students started blogging today! This is one of my favorite days of the year! I love watching them figure out the blog's dashboard and how to maneuver around. I love reading their posts and comments. It's such a fun and exciting time in our class! (They will soon be ready for the world to read!)
Wednesday: I celebrate my church family. Wednesday nights I attend a class at church. Life is so busy, I almost didn't sign up, but this hour is one of the best of the week. The leader of the class was celebrating his 81st birthday...so I brought cookies & brownies. We all indulged in some sweets while learning about our spiritual gifts.
Thursday: I celebrate help. I asked for it today and I allowed it. The weather has created perfect conditions for a migraine, so I asked for a sub for my last class. I went home and slept. Thank you for substitute teachers and helpful deans and thoughtful students who were extra kind because I didn't feel well.
Friday: I celebrate writing. Writing is the outlet that helps my world make sense. My notebook is like a warm blanket that brings me such comfort. I figured out some big things this week in my writing. I even wrote a poem about it yesterday. I'd love writing to become something at which I make money, but if it never does...it's enough just as it is.
Saturday: I celebrate dinner with friends to celebrate a year of gratitude! I celebrate Bella getting to work with an amazing trainer today too. Busy Saturday today!
Extra celebration: I have made final plans to attend NCTE and ALAN in November. I can't wait!!!
I love the depth and breadth of your celebrations this week...and well every week. You remind us that there are small moments to celebrate in ALL the aspects of our lives.
ReplyDeleteI've got to get my students to your blog! Monday and Tuesday I promise! We had parent conferences all last week so our time was really limited. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteThere is something to celebrate every day. Sorry for your migraine. Now that the year of gratitude project is over, what next? Will you continue?
ReplyDeleteWhat a cheery Keurig! I love the way you find celebrations in the midst of each day. Enjoy NCTE and ALAN. You'll have a great time! Thanks for celebrating.
