Celebrating the Little Things

Today I celebrate 
the little things
that bring me joy

the little things
that exist everywhere
if we take the time to 
stop and notice them

My week was 
filled with 
tiny miracles
flying around

Unexpected invitations
and surprises!

Friendships that
remind me how blessed I am

Words filled with
love and support
Books that carry me
to a dream world

Ducks with a sense of humor
Ducks on a car while I was walking Bella!

Toilet paper that makes me
feel special
Everyday our custodian folds the ends of the toilet paper rolls. It makes me SMILE!

Cookies & milk for dessert

All of these little things combined 
to make this a week filled 
with miracles flying around
Just grab one!

    Ducks are everywhere this year! I feel like they are invading?!?!? I saw a flock of them when I was running the other day. That has never happened. That sorry poem. My goodness that is awesome. Tiny miracles indeed!

    You have perfectly written how important the small things are - even the folded toilet paper and the ducks! I know some times I have so much to do that I don't take the time to look and be appreciative. thanks for the reminder!

    What small and yet important things you noticed this week. A janitor that takes the time to fold the toilet paper says quite a bit as does the whimsical ducks and the perfect I'm Sorry poem. Thanks Michelle.

    That 'sorry' poem is so sincere, Michelle. How can you not chuckle. Sometimes, as we know, it is hard! Love the pics,especially the TP. We do notice & appreciate the little things!

Here I Am

I haven't posted in a couple of weeks. I've been thinking for the past couple of days about this post...but I can't think of anything to write. Someday...

Join us at Two Writing Teachers . Do you have dreams? Kids are good at dreaming. I find many adults struggle with it. Speaking for myself, I get so caught up in the everyday drudgery of life, that dreams get nudged aside until they disappear.  It's important to have dreams. I've been writing about my dreams in my notebook and so I thought I'd share my dreams here... 1. Writing a book.  While I'd love to get a book published, my dream is to write a book...to complete the act of writing it.  I've started on this dream and it's hard and challenging and exciting and amazing.  2. Chasing My Dream

I'm doing it. I'm chasing my dream. I've always wanted to run writing retreats and workshops for people, but I've always been too scared to do anything about it...until now. I don't know what's changed...maybe I've changed. I'm not allowing the fear to stop me anymore. I've started Selah Writing Retreats.  The past couple of weeks I've been getting the business end in order. I thought I would hate that...I don't. It's scary, but I am surprising myself with how efficient I am. Yesterday I went to a bank to set up a bank account. The woman I met with was kind and helpful and so enthusiastic about my dream.
