Here it is...My blog about teaching. My experiences. My successes. My struggles. What do I have to say that's original and different? I'm not sure, but during a chat on twitter I was given some valuable advice about writing and I'm following it. Here are some of the tweets:
To honor the advice I received I thought, This is it! This is the time. Now's the time to start blogging professionally. Well, that is to say, I'm going to blog about my profession. I've been struggling with the idea of writing yet another blog. I blog with my students and for my students and that's important, but I need a place to reflect on my practice and write for ME. Penny Kittle says that I have a story to tell that no one else can tell. Here's my story...

I always love hearing where the inspiration for blog posts comes from. And I love having a bit of chaos in my life - out of the swirl comes the creative voice.

ReplyDeleteYour last thought, about paralyzing fear stopping you from writing, is exactly what blogging is about for me. I have learned, over the last few years, so much from meeting that fear head-on, and writing anyway. It has improved my ability to help reluctant writers ten-fold.

The first post I kept thinking, "will anyone read it, will they comment, will they care what I write about". This is a caring community and I know that you will be a great addition.
