Celebrating Family Visits

Ending each week with celebrations and gratitude makes the moments in the week so much more precious. I'm so grateful to be part of this community! Thank you to Ruth Ayres and all of the bloggers! Please join us here.

Oh I'm filled with so many celebrations this week! I got to spend the last few days with my mom and my five and a half year old nephew Jack. We squeezed so much fun into a few days. They arrived from the train station on Wednesday. I'd say meeting Bella was the highlight of that day. Jack and Bella are like magnets, when they are in the same space, they are attached. Oh, to see Bella love him so much makes me happy. They played and cuddled and Jack gave her treats. She was pretty spoiled this week too. Here's my favorite picture of the two of them...



The next day we found the Lego Store and Jack was certainly in his happy place. We stopped for lunch and took a selfie...

Our last day together was spent outside. Playgrounds. Pool. Swimming. Oh there's nothing like being outside in the sunshine in the summertime. 

These days have been amazing! I'll miss the pile of Bots on my table and the pages of pictures colored for me and Tom & Jerry on the TV.

Memories made for all of us. Next year... Jillian!

    The memories made with Aunties and Uncles and Grandparents and All the Family are like nothing else. Man I love family. Thanks for sharing! I can't wait to do some more catching up on your blog!

    Happiness exudes from the pics. Family time is great especially when you're visiting. As in, you only truly appreciate things through not having them every day.

    I love especially hearing what you'll miss, Michelle. What a wonderful week of visitors. I saw the pic of Jack & Bella on FB-Bella must be missing him, too!

    Time with family is so precious, especially when those family members live far away. If only we could make time stand still. So glad you were able to spend time with your mom and Jack. Celebration indeed!

    "Jack and Bella are like magnets, when they are in the same space, they are attached" . The picture illustrates the truth of that statement. The joy squeezed into this visit oozes from your words and sticks to me! :)

I haven't posted in a couple of weeks. I've been thinking for the past couple of days about this post...but I can't think of anything to write. Chasing My Dream

I'm doing it. I'm chasing my dream. I've always wanted to run writing retreats and workshops for people, but I've always been too scared to do anything about it...until now. I don't know what's changed...maybe I've changed. I'm not allowing the fear to stop me anymore. I've started Selah Writing Retreats.  The past couple of weeks I've been getting the business end in order. I thought I would hate that...I don't. It's scary, but I am surprising myself with how efficient I am. Yesterday I went to a bank to set up a bank account. The woman I met with was kind and helpful and so enthusiastic about my dream.
