Thank you to Stacey, Betsy, Dana, Tara, Beth, Anna, Kathleen & Deb for this amazing platform to write and share writing! What a wonderful community you've created! I'm honored to be part of it. Join us at Two Writing Teachers . Do you have dreams? Kids are good at dreaming. I find many adults struggle with it. Speaking for myself, I get so caught up in the everyday drudgery of life, that dreams get nudged aside until they disappear. It's important to have dreams. I've been writing about my dreams in my notebook and so I thought I'd share my dreams here... 1. Writing a book. While I'd love to get a book published, my dream is to write a book...to complete the act of writing it. I've started on this dream and it's hard and challenging and exciting and amazing. 2. I love them all, Michelle, but that first one, the light, is wonderful. I do love the light and shadows that mornings and evenings show. Have a wonderful next week, too!
ReplyDeleteYour pictorial celebration looks sweet and special. You captured many special moments. Thanks for showing us the pics! Your dog is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI celebrate with you today. For dogs, and fun, and school supplies, and ice cream with children.
ReplyDeleteOh my, the school supply sales! Years ago when I worked in a pharmacy, my coworkers used to laugh at me because I would be circling all the sales in our flyer. There's really nothing quite like stocking up for the coming year. I'm not sure what room I will have this year, so I am abstaining from purchasing too much. Ah, the drama.
ReplyDeleteEvery picture made me smile, especially those of Bella! Hugs to you. Excited for your new classroom blog!
ReplyDeleteLooks like it was a good week!
ReplyDeleteI like the way you plan...with color! Happy August!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos and accompanying captions, I particularly like the ice cream photo. Looks like you had a wonderful summer week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun week - glad to share in your happy place. Sparkly lights, school supplies, and pics of Bella. I went shopping with my niece (4th grade teacher) when i was in OK. My brother laughed when I bought two new composition books! He said, "I thought you were retired." My reply, "Retired, but still writing."
ReplyDeleteMichelle, a happy place indeed-your post is always filled with such joy, even your wallpaper background speaks of that emotion. Your notebook collection is looking grand and I can't wait to see the one you will show your students on Day 1. Keep on smiling. Life is good.
