Speaking for myself, I get so caught up in the everyday drudgery of life, that dreams get nudged aside until they disappear. It's important to have dreams. I've been writing about my dreams in my notebook and so I thought I'd share my dreams here... 1. Writing a book. While I'd love to get a book published, my dream is to write a book...to complete the act of writing it. I've started on this dream and it's hard and challenging and exciting and amazing. 2. Quiet is nice - almost time to listen to yourself as well. Drafting in your heart and mind. It is important to remember these days when our students face the blank page. Thank you.

Writing IS about listening! You have to fuel your writing with being.
ReplyDeleteI can relate. Sometimes there is no need for elaborate words. The quiet is bliss.

ReplyDeleteHmm. . . my quiet this morning was watching the deer in my driveway. So peaceful. Watching and listening. Quiet has its purpose! (So does the coffee!) LOL
ReplyDeleteThis is an important reminder! I think that this is a slice that I need to print out and put into my writerās notebook to remind myself to take time to stop and just listen.
